Another late start for ice fishing this year

Man with the temperatures being so mild these days in the North Bay area. Looks like I will not be hitting any ice until mid December. Was hoping to getting out sooner. Guess if the rivers are still good. Will try to do some casting for bass.

i took a drive up to the west end of lake Simcoe yesterday an skim ice had just formed in some of the back channels of Lagoon city.  Main channels were still wide open.


Hooksets are free.

Ya bigger lakes will take time but looks like our small trout ponds maybe have some safe ice a bit late this year. Hope I will be on a lake in 3 weeks.
